Department Description:

This role works with Global Creative Strategy and Research leadership, internal marketing and analytics partners, the Home Entertainment team, production research partners, and external research vendors. The role supports collaboration across functions while escalating decisions and recommendations to the appropriate team leadership.

Role Description:

The Analyst, Global Creative Strategy and Research, supports assigned quantitative and qualitative research projects for the Motion Pictures Group. The role assists with questionnaire design, focus group recruit memos, report review, analysis, toplines, tracking updates, and clear communication of findings to internal partners.

This role helps turn audience and creative research into practical insights for title marketing and related business decisions. Success requires strong analytical habits, clear communication, attention to detail, and curiosity about responsible uses of emerging technology.

Responsibilities:

Assigned Research and Creative Strategy
• Support assigned title research projects, including quantitative and qualitative creative tests, and prepare toplines and summaries for review.
• Assist with questionnaire development, localization of materials, focus group recruit memos, data review, and analysis under the guidance of team leadership.

Research Coordination and Analysis
• Help coordinate domestic and international tracking, tack ons, exits, consumer behavior and trends, and box office prediction inputs; draft related internal updates and memos.
• Review collected data and research materials for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Strategy Materials and Cross-Functional Support
• Contribute to title strategy documents by organizing research findings, identifying audience insights, and supporting materials that inform marketing strategy.
• Support strategy and research documents for the Home Entertainment team and communicate theatrical research findings as requested.
• Support the Vice Presidents of Global Creative Strategy and Research and the broader team on ad hoc projects as needed.

Technology, Automation and AI-Enablement
• Serve as a builder and enabler by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, APIs, and modern workflow technologies to improve campaign execution, operational efficiency, quality, visibility, throughput, and speed-to-market.
• Build practical familiarity with AI language models, including ChatGPT

Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot, and use them responsibly to support research, analysis, and communication.
• Develop custom AI Skills, GPTs, Agents, automations, dashboards, operational databases, reporting solutions, and knowledge management platforms that reduce manual effort and improve business decision-making.
• Develop working knowledge of connectors, APIs, and data feeds that connect internal workflows with outside companies or platforms; partner with appropriate technical and business teams as needed.
• Document, standardize, and promote adoption of new technologies and operational best practices through governance, training, and change management.

Key qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year of relevant work experience, preferably in research, analytics, marketing, or entertainment.
• Passion for entertainment and pop culture, with a working knowledge of theatrical movies.
• Strong written, quantitative, and analytical skills, with the ability to organize information and communicate clear takeaways.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of or experience with surveys and quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Familiarity with SPSS, regression analysis, Tableau, or other research and reporting tools is preferred.
• Interest in or familiarity with advertising testing, branding, positioning, consumer behavior, and audience research is preferred.
• Interest in and familiarity with AI tools, with an ability to identify and explore potential applications across market research and consumer insights, is preferred.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $34.35/hour to $45.04/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
