Full Job Description
As a warehouse supervisor you will lead a team of Warehouse Operators/Material Handlers responsible for operating material handling equipmentand performing tasks to include loading, unloading, scanning, moving, staging, storing, locating, relocating, andstacking materials/products.

Responsibilities

  • Plan the workload for his/her team with focus on load levelling to prevent overtime while ensuring customerservice and process quality.
  • Collect and consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan weekly and daily material fl ows andinform needs in terms of material/product stocks to satisfy demand and supply without creating businessdisruptions.
  • Review production schedules, customer orders, shipping orders, as well as requisitions to determine items tobe moved, gathered, and/or distributed, prioritize work orders and dispatch these to the team.
  • Oversee the reception of incoming materials, related administrative tasks (batch number recordings, goodsreceipt issuance, materials labeling) as well as dispatching and storage.
  • Oversee the preparation of materials/products for shipment to ensure that amount and type of product(s) arematching customer orders.
  • Monitor the loading, unloading, moving, stacking and staging of products and materials in dedicated areas andpredetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Lead physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation, disposal of unused/obsoletematerials/products, and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
  • Control that warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company (EHS) guidelines and publicsafety regulations, e.g.when involving fork lifts, clamp trucks or other power equipment, or manipulation ofhazardeous materials/products.
  • Monitor the maintenance of warehouse installation(s) and equipments by keeping them clean, safe andoperational, reporting service requests as needed.
  • Identify capability gaps and conduct trainings to close them.
  • Execute other tasks as required and assigned by supervisor.
  • Conduct annual human resources processes for the assigned Warehouse team(s) and validate results.
  • Work with the local Logistics management team and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local capabilitypipeline for the function.
  • Drive the development and promotion of identifi ed talents within and outside Logistics.

You?

  • Vocational diploma in logistics
  • 5 or more years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years of experience in people management.
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse process flow.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving regulations and protocol.
  • Good knowledge of material/product safety/security norms and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of inventory processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.
  • Good knowledge of production process fl ow and scheduling.
  • Operation of computers - desktop, and hand held for receiving, and real-time inventory updates and customerorder shipments.


Compensation and Benefits

The established salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
