About the RoleThe Test Manager is responsible for leading and scaling manufacturing test strategy, test operations, and validation processes across the product lifecycle. This role drives the development and execution of comprehensive test programs to ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturability in high-volume production environments. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to establish robust test architectures, improve operational efficiency, and deliver world-class manufacturing outcomes.
What You Will Do- Lead the development and execution of manufacturing test strategies across board, module, system, rack, and cluster-level testing.
- Manage test engineering teams responsible for test development, validation, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Define test requirements, coverage plans, KPIs, and quality metrics to ensure product reliability and manufacturing readiness.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing test infrastructure, including hardware, software, diagnostics, and reporting systems.
- Drive Design-for-Test (DFT) initiatives and collaborate with product engineering teams to improve testability during product development and NPI.
- Establish standardized testing methodologies, best practices, and processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Analyze yield, failure, and reliability data to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for manufacturing and test-related failures and ensure effective resolution.
- Utilize statistical tools and methodologies such as DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and reliability analysis to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and design engineering teams to support production ramp-ups and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, throughput, test efficiency, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization.
- Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for test engineering programs.
- Present performance metrics, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, product validation, or quality engineering within high-volume production environments.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing test engineering teams and complex technical programs.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing test systems across board, module, system, rack, and integrated product levels.
- Experience developing and deploying production test solutions for electronics, server systems, PCBA assemblies, or similar products.
- Expertise in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation.
- Strong understanding of Design-for-Test (DFT), NPI, product validation, and manufacturing quality processes.
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), test management platforms, and factory data systems.
- Proficiency with data analysis and statistical tools such as Minitab, JMP, Python, SQL, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of hardware, firmware, software, and system-level interactions.
- Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in quality, reliability, yield, and operational performance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across technical and business organizations.
- Experience supporting global manufacturing operations and cross-functional engineering teams is highly desirable.
