Full Job Description
About the Team:

The Ecosystem Health team protects our users and helps ensure a safe, authentic experience across Grindr. We build products and systems that safeguard the integrity of user accounts and activity, tackling spam, fake accounts, fraud, illegal activities, and harmful conduct while preserving the privacy, discretion, and freedom of our community values.

As a Staff Product Manager, you'll drive the Ecosystem Health product roadmap and bring it to life - from AI-powered detection systems and fraud prevention to account authenticity and moderation. You'll partner with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Privacy, and Customer Experience to turn complex fraud and safety challenges into effective products, lead technical execution, and deliver measurable improvements in user safety and platform integrity. This is an opportunity to own some of Grindr's most consequential product surfaces, stay ahead of emerging threats, and help millions of people connect with confidence.

At Grindr, we operate in Grindr Mode. Moderately hardcore day to day, truly hardcore when it counts. It's about doing great work without burning out. Outcomes over outputs. Smart, driven people who raise your bar, with room to live full lives.

This is a hybrid role based in our New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Chicago offices and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.

About the Job:
  • Translate the Ecosystem Health vision into a focused product strategy and roadmap across platform integrity, fraud prevention, moderation, authenticity, and user trust.
  • Lead complex product initiatives from problem definition through launch and iteration, partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Customer Experience, Legal, Privacy, and Marketing.
  • Build and improve AI/ML-powered detection and moderation systems that identify harmful behavior at scale while accounting for accuracy, user impact, and the ways people use Grindr.
  • Develop user-facing products that strengthen authenticity and trust, including verification, age assurance, reporting, and privacy controls.
  • Define ecosystem health metrics, identify emerging risks, make clear tradeoffs, and use data to prioritize the work that most improves user safety and platform integrity.

Role Requirements:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex consumer products or platforms at scale.
  • Experience in trust and safety, fraud prevention, risk, identity, marketplace integrity, or another domain where product decisions balance protection, access, privacy, and user experience.
  • A track record of turning broad company or functional direction into product strategy, multi-quarter roadmaps, and shipped outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Strong technical and analytical judgment, including experience working with engineers and data scientists on automated decision systems, model performance, platform architecture, and operational tooling.
  • Experience defining success metrics, diagnosing patterns in large or complex datasets, and using evidence to make product tradeoffs.
  • The ability to create clarity and momentum across senior stakeholders without direct authority, especially when the problem is ambiguous, high stakes, or time sensitive.

You May Thrive in this Role if You:
  • Have built products for sensitive or adversarial environments, including user-generated content, account authenticity, age assurance, scams, abuse, or regulatory risk.
  • Balance strong risk judgment with empathy for users whose safety, privacy, and discretion needs are complex.
  • Bring experience in data science, machine learning, software engineering, or highly technical product environments.
  • Are AI-native or rapidly becoming so - you actively use AI tools in your workflow and are always looking for new ways to leverage them.

Benefits and Perks:
  • Health, Dental & Vision Full premium coverage for you. Partial coverage for dependents.
  • Family Formation Up to $300,000 in fertility and family-building support, covering IVF, surrogacy, egg freezing, and adoption.
  • Retirement: 401(k) with 6% match and immediate vesting.
  • Compensation: Industry-competitive compensation, company bonus, and equity for every employee.
  • Gender-Affirming Care : Industry-leading gender-affirming offerings with up to 90% cost coverage, access to Included Health, monthly stipends for HRT, and more.
  • Time Off & Rest Flexible vacation policy. Two company-wide rest weeks per year.
  • Other Benefits: Monthly stipends for cell phone, internet, wellness, food, and commuting, breakfast/lunch
