What you can expect from this position:

Reporting to the Manager, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), this position is responsible for day-to-day monitoring, compliance, and analytical activities that strengthen supplier governance, contract performance, risk management and value realization. You will partner with Procurement Services, Business Units, and GTAA suppliers to translate complex pricing, spend, market and performance data into clear insights, recommendations and action plans. The position acts as a general resource to internal business partners and suppliers on key SRM activities.

As a Specialist, Supplier Relationship Management, you will:

  • Build complex pricing structures for RFx initiatives and contracts and analyze bid and contract pricing to support negotiations and decision-making.
  • Reconcile and validate large procurement datasets from Oracle and other sources, identifying data gaps, errors and inconsistencies and following up with contract owners for resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting and dashboards (including Power BI) on supplier performance, contract commitments and procurement activity for stakeholders.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise summaries, visualizations and recommendations tailored to the audience, from contract managers to senior leadership.
  • Act as first level point of contact for internal business stakeholders on supplier performance and contract management issues, providing guidance and education on supplier governance and risk mitigation throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships based on supplier segmentation and support the development of supplier governance strategies that delivery mutually beneficial results for the GTAA and its suppliers.
  • Apply in-depth contract management knowledge to support business units in ensuring supplier adherence to contractual terms and conditions and scope of work.
  • Support Business Units and Procurement Services in developing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure contract performance.
  • Report, monitor and improve supplier performance in collaboration with business units through governance, performance reviews, scorecards and improvement plans.
  • Support Business Units in assessing supplier risks and developing effective risk mitigation strategies, and collaborate with the Corporate Risk team to ensure continuity of critical functions provided by suppliers.
  • Facilitate (based on the Supplier Segmentation) and attend performance review meetings with suppliers and contract/project managers to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Maintain a knowledge of marketplace pricing and sourcing strategies to contribute to Procurement Services' goals and practices.
  • Assist in drafting policy guidance and documentation related to supplier relationship management.
  • Prepare, maintain records and distribute minutes and action items from supplier relationship meetings, and follow up to closure.
  • Support Associate Director, SRM, Manager, SRM and the Head of Procurement on all contract and Supplier Relationship Management initiatives.
  • Maintain supplier monitoring plans, obligation calendars and other centralized supplier documentation to facilitate analysis, cross functional information sharing, and report across the full inventory of third-party relationships.


This unionized position is classified at the Band 7 level, with an hourly wage rate of $47.35, based on a 37.5 hour work week. A written test may be administered as a part of the competitive process.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • College Diploma or University Degree with a specialization in Business Management, Contract Law, Supply Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, similar industry or public-sector environment, directly or indirectly managing large, complex corporate contracts and suppliers and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Experience managing varied and complex pricing structures and providing analysis to support contract negotiations.
  • Minimum 1 year of procurement related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and influencing skills across Procurement Services, Business Units, suppliers and other corporate partners, with the flexibility to adapt approach to different stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop, implement and refine methods and procedures under the direction of the Manager, and to support cost-benefit analysis on GTAA projects.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, investigate supplier and contract-related disputes, and formulate practical solutions that protect the GTAA's interests and ensure value for money.
