Who we are looking forWe are seeking an experienced J2EE/JAVA developer with previous exposure to working in a financial services industry. The right individual will need to leverage their existing skills to quickly familiarize themselves with our existing environment and technology to deliver on time sensitive projects for a leading investment manager.
What you will be responsible forAs a Java Developer you will
- Designs and builds new software and features to existing software
- Uses strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns to design software that promotes efficiency, testability, and maintainability
- Provide detailed articulate technical designs explaining what and how the application components are impacted for release changes
- Convert legacy system into micro services or has converted a legacy system by breaking it into micro services.
- Reverse engineering and digital transformation of legacy system into modern design
- Understand complex end-to-end transaction processing flows through multiple applications across a broad range of financial asset classes.
- Understanding the importance of automated testing and different levels at which these need to be performed
- Perform code reviews and collaboratively work with team members in product development efforts
- Validating production deployment of applications

Education & Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in related or relevant field
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE
- Hands-on advanced knowledge of relational databases/SQL/Stored procedures (Sybase preferred).
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting
- Experience in Visual Studio, Eclipse, XML, MVC, and React JS Framework skills
- Experience with micro-services and component-based architectures
- Strong coding, design & debugging skills
- Respond to and troubleshoot production issues promptly as needed
- Should have worked and delivered projects in a fast-phased approach
- Experience with Agile Project management methodologies
- Prior experience working in the Capital Markets domain with Asset Management, Investment Banking organization is preferred
- Knowledge of using AI Tools such as GitHub CoPilot is a plus

Salary Range: $100,000 - $167,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
