United Talent Agency (UTA) is a talent and literary agency with offices in Los Angeles, New York City, London, Nashville, Miami and Malmo, Sweden. UTA was founded in 1991 by a group of agents who left Creative Artists Agency (CAA). UTA represents artists and other entertainment professionals, including actors, writers, directors, producers, recording artists, and comedians. The agency also represents sports figures and models in endorsement, licensing, and personal appearance deals. UTA has been involved in a number of high-profile deals, including the representation of the creators of the television show Friends and the negotiation of a $900 million financing deal for the film studio Legendary Entertainment. In 2019, UTA acquired the music agency Circle Talent Agency, which represents electronic dance music artists. UTA has also been involved in philanthropic efforts, including the creation of the UTA Foundation, which supports a variety of charitable causes.
