Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Treasury Business Integration leads Treasury activities supporting mergers and acquisitions, business integrations, cash repatriation planning, and strategic initiatives. This role partners with Corporate Development, Finance, Tax, Legal, and business leadership to assess Treasury risks, integrate acquired businesses into the company's Treasury framework, and improve access to cash across global operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesMergers and Acquisitions Due Diligence and Integration
- Lead Treasury due diligence for potential acquisitions, assessing cash availability, debt and financing arrangements, banking relationships, guarantees, foreign exchange exposures, and cash movement restrictions.
- Identify Treasury risks, transaction requirements, and integration costs; communicate findings and recommendations to transaction stakeholders.
- Develop and execute Treasury integration plans covering Day 1 readiness and post-close priorities, including banking, liquidity management, Treasury systems, policies, and controls.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and track progress against established milestones.
Business Treasury Integration
- Serve as the Treasury lead, in close coordination with the Regional Cash Manager, for integrating acquired and existing businesses into centralized Wabtec processes and governance, including Treasury operations, accounts payable processes, banking structures, and related financial activities.
- Evaluate Treasury practices across businesses and implement improvements in cash visibility, cash forecasting, banking structures, funding strategies, and payment controls.
- Coordinate the onboarding of businesses into cash pooling, intercompany financing, and Treasury reporting structures.
- Partner with business finance teams to establish clear ownership, accountability, and sustainable operating processes.
Cash Repatriation Planning
- Develop and coordinate cash repatriation strategies to support corporate liquidity and capital allocation objectives.
- Assess cash balances, local funding requirements, and regulatory or operational restrictions affecting the availability and movement of funds.
- Partner with Tax, Legal, Accounting, and local Finance teams to evaluate and execute appropriate cash repatriation methods, including dividends, intercompany settlements, and loan repayments.
- Monitor execution, resolve obstacles, and provide regular updates on timing, risks, and cash availability.
Special Projects
- In close coordination with the Regional Cash Managers, lead Treasury initiatives supporting business restructurings, legal entity rationalizations, operational improvements, and other strategic priorities.
- Develop project plans, coordinate stakeholders, manage dependencies, and deliver results within established timelines.
- Prepare analyses, recommendations, business cases, and progress updates for senior leadership.
- Ensure project outcomes align with Treasury policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.
Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Cash Management, Banking, or a related financial discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition execution.
- Strong knowledge of global cash management, liquidity planning, banking structures, intercompany funding, and Treasury controls.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects involving Finance, Tax, Legal, Accounting, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex financial and operational issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent professional designation.
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and banking platforms.
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing or industrial company.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange risk management, cash repatriation strategies, and international banking practices.
