Salary Range:
$200,000 USD - $220,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Job Description:

In this role, you will lead significant, complex, and/or strategically important client relationships, with responsibility for delivering senior-level advice, strengthening client trust, and driving commercial outcomes. You will deliver strategic advice through asset allocation studies, guiding implementation, and promoting investment products, strategies, and solutions.

You will collaborate with other client-facing team members and act as a senior member of the Institutional team to create an exceptional client experience. You will utilizedeep understanding of U.S. institutional retirement and non-profit markets, along with deep knowledge of portfolio management, liability-driven investing, alternatives, and multi-asset investment solutions to develop and deliver strategic advice to institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Play a lead role with institutional clients to develop investment goals and objectives, determine asset allocation strategies, and implement multi-asset investment programs targeting specific outcomes.

  • Retain and grow revenue across assigned client relationships, expand wallet share, and partner effectively with sales on opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

  • Communicate firm investment views clearly and credibly, tailoring advice to each clients objectives, governance structure, stakeholder needs, and level of investment sophistication.

  • Partner with the sales team in closing new business with existing and prospective clients

Relationship Management & Communication

  • Serve as the primary CCIOfor significant, complex, and/or strategically important client relationships, including relationships with meaningful revenue, sophisticated governance structures, and senior client decision-makers.

  • Lead high-stakes client interactions with executive presence and sound judgment, including board, investment committee, C-suite, and other senior stakeholder meetings.

  • Lead cross-functional coordination across internal stakeholders including investment analysts, administrative leads, strategists, sales, product/solutions, Investment Division, and other internal partners to deliver integrated advice, resolve complex client issues, and ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience.

  • Contribute to broader Client CCIO platform effectiveness by mentoring others, sharing best practices, strengthening client delivery standards, and supporting functional or department priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; CFA strongly preferred.

  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required or ability to obtain within 90 days.

  • Significant experience working with institutional investors, with demonstratedsuccess managing and growing institutional client relationships. Experience with retirement plans and not-for-profit clients preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with sophisticated institutional clients, boards, and investment committees providing advice on investment policy, strategic asset allocation, liability-driven investing, capital market forecasting, portfolio implementation, and alternatives.

  • In-depth investment industry knowledge, including capital market theory, alternatives, and investment strategies that relate to the implementation of the Russell Investments philosophy.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work self-directed and be a contributing team member. Outstanding communication, presentation, and consensus-building skills required, in addition to proven team leadership and project management experience.

  • Proven commercial orientation, including demonstrated success retaining revenue, growing revenue, and identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence without direct authority, mentor others, and contribute beyond individual client relationships.

  • Travel as needed to work with clients.
