Job Summary

YAGEO Group is seeking an Automotive Product Manager at our Simpsonville, South Carolina location. This is an onsite role. The Automotive Product Manager is responsible for the business elements of a portfolio of automotive ceramic capacitors. The PM directs the product roadmap, launch, and lifecycle management of their product portfolio. The PM drives product strategy, defines requirements, sets prices and monitors competitive trends to position products effectively within the industry. Ultimately the Product Manager is responsible for the business of the product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with organizational goals and market demands.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market research, and competitor data to inform product decisions.
  • Define product requirements, features, and specifications in collaboration with engineering and design teams.
  • Monitor product performance, manage lifecycles, and identify areas for improvement or innovation.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by providing product expertise and developing promotional materials.
  • Manage product pricing to maximize profitability and growth.
  • Coordinate with planning and operations to ensure quality, cost and timely delivery.

Other Responsibilities
  • Manages, plans and coordinates the development of new products and enhancements of existing products based on short-term and long-term needs.
  • Develop sales forecasts and implement pricing schedules that provide revenue and margins growth while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Interface with customers to determine opportunities for product growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and deliver new products and product enhancements that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and the end users.
  • Monitor product financial performance metrics to inform and direct strategy
  • The role often involves travel to automotive events, client meetings, and supplier sites.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in the automotive industry an advantage
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Systems Skills: (Experience in any of the following systems helpful):
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
