Full Job Description
Job Responsibilities: Seasonal Allocation and Planning: ​
  • Guide team of analysts to develop allocation strategies based on influences such as historical sales data, geographic location, store size, and customer preferences
  • Lead a team in partnering with buying, planning, visual to plan for seasonal set and refresh allocations
  • Support the execution of seasonal strategies and marketed events by ensuring the allocations on the right product at the right time are done in a timely manner
  • Monitor and adjust allocation strategies as necessary throughout seasons based on changing conditions
Inventory Analysis:​
  • Evaluate opportunities and apply the necessary adjustments for upcoming seasons based on reviewing store sales performance, tracking sell-through rates
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to inventory management, such as overstocking, stockouts, or excess inventory write-offs
  • Manage with cross functional partners slow-moving items and recommended actions to address these issues (hold in DC, markdown, floor placement moves)​
  • Review key performance metrics, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunity
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Review reporting on inventory performance and recommended strategy adjustments
  • Oversee the partnership with Data Science team in building dynamic Power BI dashboards that fuel analysis and actions
  • Help develop and deliver a story from large data sets to create an action plan accordingly
Communication, Collaboration, Team Development:
  • Cross-collaborate closely with (but not limited to) Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Provide regular updates on allocation effectiveness throughout the season
  • Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment within your team and with a cross-functional partners
  • Train, manage and develop team of analysts
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in inventory management
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to delegate to a team, and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive work environment where you lead a team to success
  • Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Sense of urgency and excitement to be a part of a high-growth retail environment
  • Able to formulate a point of view of the business and to summarize opportunities and strategies
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly.  Power BI or Tableau experience a bonus
