Contributes to the overall success of the Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture team, ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Contributes to defining infrastructure strategy, target-state architectures, and architectural guardrails across core infrastructure domains, including Data Center, Hosting, Compute, Virtualization, Server OS, Containerization, Database, and Storage
• Provides subject matter expertise in two or more infrastructure domains, supporting the development of domain strategies, standards, and roadmaps
• Supports translation of enterprise architecture direction into domain-specific architecture guidance
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of infrastructure standards, architecture patterns, reference architectures, and design principles across core infrastructure domains
• Ensures architecture artifacts are aligned with enterprise architecture principles, regulatory requirements, resilience expectations, and the Bank's risk appetite
• Supports lifecycle management of standards and patterns, including updates, rationalization, and alignment with evolving platform strategies
• Provides architecture guidance and advisory support to Solution Architecture and Engineering teams across the solution lifecycle (from ideation through design)
• Supports prioritized initiatives by providing input on:
o Infrastructure patterns, principles, and frameworks
o Alignment to approved standards and platform strategies
o Identification of gaps where standards or patterns do not exist
o Participates in design forums and Architecture Review Boards (ARB) as a domain subject matter contributor
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and currency of architecture standards, patterns, reference architectures, and supporting documentation
• Works with Architecture Governance & Assurance to capture, document, and maintain architecture standards, patterns, and frameworks in a consistent format
• Supports standards lifecycle activities, including traceability, updates, and compliance alignment
• Contributes to research, evaluation, and proof of concept of emerging infrastructure technologies and solutions
• Supports identification of opportunities for platform modernization, optimization, and rationalization
• Collaborates with peers across architecture and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; master's degree is an asset. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT architecture, infrastructure engineering, or technology strategy within large, complex, regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering and architecture projects, architectural and engineering quality management, Infrastructure capability development.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure domains
• Experience working in global, matrixed organizations and influencing Engineering, Operations, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Delivery teams
• Knowledge of regulatory, security, resiliency, compliance, and risk considerations relevant to infrastructure architecture in a financial services environment.
