Full Job Description
Growth Product Manager (North America)

About the Role

We're looking for a Growth PM to own how new users find OpenArt, get to their first great creation, and become paying creators. You'll be responsible for activation across every acquisition channel, the free-to-paid funnel, lifecycle retention, and the experimentation engine behind all of it.

This is a high-leverage moment to join. We grew revenue 7x last year, we're launching OpenArt Director (our new "vibe directing" category), and we're expanding into Brazil, India, and Europe. Growth done well over the next 12months is category-defining.

You'll work directly with the founders, a distributed engineering team, and our marketing and lifecycle leads.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of growth product management experience at a product-led growth (PLG) consumer or pro-sumer company
  • Track record of moving real numbers - new-user activation, channel-level conversion, free-to-paid conversion, retention - with specifics you can walkthrough
  • Deep onboarding fluency. You've redesigned onboarding for different acquisition sources (paid, organic, viral, partnerships) and can talk about what worked and what didn't
  • Strong experimentation chops - power, sample sizing, holdouts vs. A/B, sequential testing pitfalls, reading noisy results honestly
  • Comfortable in the growth tooling stack: Amplitude or similar, Stripe, attribution (Meta Pixel, Meta Conversions API, GA4), lifecycle tools (Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, or similar)
  • Quantitative - comfortable in SQL or with analytics dashboards, and you don't wait for someone else to pull the data
  • Strong product instincts - you can look at a funnel, talk to a few users, and quickly identify the biggest opportunity
  • Comfort working across time zones with a distributed engineering team
  • Demonstrate an AI-native approach to daily workflows by effectively leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, creativity, and decision-making.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with global growth - localized onboarding, regional payment methods, country-specific channels (especially APAC, LATAM, or Europe)
  • Background in consumer AI or generative AI products
  • Pricing and packaging experience at a subscription business
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) or programmatic SEO background
  • Creative tools / design software background (Adobe, Canva, Figma, or adjacent)
  • You've been the first growth PM hire before and know how to build the function as you go

What You'll Do
  • Make onboarding the strongest part of the funnel. Today every channel hands new users to roughly the same flow. Diagnose where each cohort drops off, design per-channel onboarding where it matters, and meaningfully lift activation.
  • Own channel-level conversion. Partner with marketing on paid acquisition,SEO, and viral loops so every click and every dollar converts at the highest rate possible.
  • Drive free-to-paid conversion. Own the paywall, pricing experiments, packaging, and upsell flows. Build a sustainable PLG monetization engine that scales with the user base.
  • Build the experimentation engine. Establish a steady cadence of well-powered experiments with clean readouts and honest decision-making. Bring rigor, not experiment theater.
  • Own retention and lifecycle. Email, push, in-app messaging, and resurrection campaigns - turn one-time visitors into weekly creators.
  • Support category-defining launches. OpenArt Director, invite-code programs, new market launches - you'll own growth instrumentation, funnel design, and reporting from day one.
  • Move fast with high autonomy. Direct access to founders and engineers, and the freedom to ship rapidly.

Compensation
  • $300k-$400k total compensation including base salary, bonus, equity(competitive compensation based on experience)
  • Equity - meaningful ownership in what you build

Work Setup
  • Bay Area (hybrid allowed)
  • Visa sponsorship available
