Job Description

We are seeking an Engineer - Mid Level.

This job is located at our customer site at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.

ESN Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Engineer with experience with Navy ship warfare system engineering including:
  • Experience in Leadership and Technical roles onboard US Navy AEGIS Destroyers/Cruisers. Experience with FFG program would be desirable.
  • Experience supporting a major Navy ship acquisition program to include financial, scheduling, product support and resourcing.
  • Experience related to the identification and analysis of complex systems engineering issues involving Software Baselines for the US Navy AEGIS Fleet.
  • Experience interacting with and providing technical briefings to Senior Navy personnel.
  • Experience with combatant combat system software and hardware management and employment.
  • Familiarity with DoD/DON Policies and Procedures related to systems engineering processes as well as test and evaluation of Navy combat systems.
  • Familiarity with Mission Based Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and U.S. Navy Combat Systems and Naval Operations.
  • Degree Requirements: Bachelors or Masters in a technical discipline.

Job Requirements:

Mid-Level Engineers must have:
  • An Associate's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with twenty (10) years of U.S. Navy Combat Systems experience, OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with five (5) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities), OR
  • A Master's in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to: computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering), with two (2) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities).

  • Must hold an active DoD SECRET clearance.
