Job Description

The Project- E&I Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and monitoring construction activities for site projects being undertaken by the Capital Projects Group. The position will assist under the overall direction of the Project Manager and aid with coordinating the daily activities between contractors and construction management for the various projects being undertaken onsite.
  • Supervise contractors performing work for Capital Projects
  • Ensure contractors a working safely and following MSHA and OGC safety policies and regulations.
  • Attend contractor safety meetings/tailgate talks/pre-shift meetings.
  • Witness all QAQC testing being performed, ensure projects are being built per design. Record all settings, tests, and maintain records in Auto Desk.
  • Issues raised with drawings, designs, need to be addressed through an RFI by the contactor. Passed on to the Project Controller & Project Superintendent.
  • Create and maintain punch list items throughout the project progression.
  • Create daily reports for each project in detail. (Auto Desk)
  • Communicate progress and issues with project controller, planners, and superintendents, on project updates, issues, and needs.
  • Construction planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Interpretation of construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Pickup supplies and parts relevant to projects from warehouse and/or other storage areas for relevant projects.
  • Supply information to the Projects Controller for parts materials to be ordered.
  • Assist Capital Projects Civil, SMP, and Site Services groups when/where needed.
  • Schedule & attend area walk throughs with the Projects End User and all relevant parties.


Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • 5+ years relevant construction experience
  • Process plant maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Trade Qualifications or Degree in Engineering or related discipline (e.g. Mining/Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Haile is not structured to facilitate an electrical apprenticeship program. Therefore, prior to being employed as an electrical worker at HGM, personnel shall demonstrate one of the following competencies:
  • Industry Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship, or General Journeyman Electrical / Master Electrical License, or MSHA Coal Qualified Person, or 2 years' experience working under the supervision of a Qualified Electrical Worker within a mining, industrial or commercial industry.
  • All Qualified Electrical Workers are required to comply with the Electrical Safety Principal Control Plan and the referenced standard operating procedures.


Additional Information

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments.
  • Ability to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams, conduct site visits, investigations, coaching, and workforce engagement activities.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas as required.
  • Ability to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).
