Job title: E4A Systemic Mastocytosis/Emerging Indication HEOR Strategy Specialist
Location: Cambridge, MA
Main Responsibilities This role will lead US-focused Health Economic and Outcomes Research activities for AYVAKIT® in Systemic Mastocytosis and emerging pipeline assets within the US Rare/Oncology HEVA team, providing US insights and executional leadership while remaining aligned to - but not accountable for - global HEVA strategy.
- Lead the design and execution of US-focused HEOR for AYVAKIT® (avapritinib) in Systemic Mastocytosis and assigned emerging assets - including economic modelling, database analysis, observational research, RWE studies, systematic literature review, evidence synthesis, and AMCP dossier development - setting US evidence generation priorities and incorporating them into broader Sanofi planning documents such as the Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP); operate with medium independence for strategic work and high independence for tactical execution, consistent with L3-2 expectations.
- Translate HEVA evidence into US business and policy impact by driving payer engagement, value positioning, and access strategies for AYVAKIT® in the US marketplace; understand and address US payer evidence requirements across managed care, specialty pharmacy, and rare disease payer dynamics; and support the development of compliant and impactful US evidence dissemination pathways (e.g., HCEI, PIE, CFL) including payer dossiers, field materials, and publications.
- Operate as part of a multi-functional US brand team responsible for designing research programs to meet the evidentiary standards of US reimbursement authorities and third-party payers; provide recommendations to ensure clinical and real-world evidence programs support US payer differentiation and value demonstration; and contribute to cross-functional US planning processes including brand planning, lifecycle management, and launch readiness for AYVAKIT® and pipeline assets.
- Serve as the US HEVA representative within the broader global HEVA team, ensuring the US perspective is well represented in global IEGPs, clinical development programs, and market access strategies; translate global evidence packages into US-specific value narratives and payer-facing materials; and engage with ICER review processes and the US policy landscape as relevant to Systemic Mastocytosis and emerging assets.
- Partner with US Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Policy teams to ensure appropriate use of HEOR evidence in field communications, payer engagement, and training; collaborate on evidence that informs value frameworks, PDAB and ICER responses, and value-based contracting strategies; and mentor junior colleagues on a case-by-case basis, sharing US HEOR and market access expertise.
