Description
VPU Context:
The Partnerships, Innovation and Mobilization Vice-Presidency (PIM) is responsible for the management and monitoring of policies, procedures and resources for the World Bank's development financing vehicles. PIMsets the policy framework for the World Bank Group's development finance by engaging in strategic resource mobilization, playing an intermediation role to help align the needs of recipients, WBG institutional priorities, and priorities of funding partners, through a variety of funding instruments. These include the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank's fund for the poorest and Trust Funds, including Financial Intermediary Funds (FIFs).
Given the nature and variety of this portfolio, PIM works closely with the Regions and Global Practices, offices of the Managing Directors, Executive Directors, World Bank Group (WBG) senior management, corporate and operations units across the WBG, funding partners and government officials. The One World Bank Group Approach works towards a greater coordination of the whole Group as a single entity, ensuring a coordinated approach to support the public and private sectors in client countries. PIM is structured to provide the institution with a more holistic approach to financing, and strategic fundraising across IDA, IBRD, and Bank/IFC trust funds and partnerships.
Unit Context:
The External Funds and Partnerships (EFPAR) leads the Bank's engagement in Trust Funds, Financial Intermediary Funds (FIFs), co-financing, and partner relations. The department administers a portfolio of nearly US$70 billion in Trust Funds and FIFs, sets the policy and procedural framework governing these instruments, and plays a critical intermediation role between the Bank's operational units and its funding partners. EFPAR comprises three business lines: FIFs, Digital, and Analytics; Trust Funds and Partner Relations; and Co-Financing.
The position supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of digital platforms, analytics, and operational processes serving development partners, MDBs, and internal stakeholders. The role focuses on Co-financing Portal and Development Partner Center (DPC) operations, AI and reporting enablement, ERP/system change support, process automation, access governance, and coordinated handling of development partner queries across Trust Funds and Financial Intermediary Funds (TF/FIFs).
In the performance of his/her duties, the ETC will work under the overall guidance and supervision of the Digital Stream Lead, in close coordination with senior staff responsible for the specific assignments.
Duties and accountabilities:
• Support continuous enhancement of the Development Partner Center (DPC) and Co-financing Portal by capturing, analyzing, and translating user feedback from outreach sessions into actionable improvements.
• Support the Analytics team in designing Power BI dashboards, automating the datasets that are needed for corporate/management/periodic reporting (such as QBRR, QRR, P[redacted], and TFAR), and in other ad-hoc tasks that the manager or supervisor will assign related to plugging gaps in the TF/FIF reporting capability.
• Support the enhancements in the institutional tools that provide comprehensive operational information in the fund and program dashboard views across TF/FIF instruments.
• Monitor and respond to user queries related to DPC and the Co financing Portal, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation.
• Coordinate and deliver training and outreach sessions for development partners and internal users on DPC tools, features, and processes.
• Strengthen service standards and user satisfaction through proactive communication and follow up.
• Contribute to ad hoc analytics and data improvement tasks to address gaps in TF/FIF reporting capabilities.
• Automate due diligence processes for onboarding new development partners, managing legal entity changes, and meeting compliance requirements.
• Support initiatives aimed at reducing manual effort, improving data quality, and strengthening service delivery.
• Monitor, track, and respond to development partner, ED, and internal user queries with diligence and accountability.
• Review and process development partner and ED access requests to DPC, ensuring appropriate approvals and compliance with access policies.
• Enhance provisioning processes to support persona based access (by instrument, trust fund, or program).
• Enable delegated access management by DPC liaisons, desk officers, or ED representatives, as appropriate.
• Assist in developing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capability to track, manage, and resolve DPC related queries.
• Generate monthly service performance and engagement reports for management to support continuous improvement.
