Job Summary:

As Director of Switch Software Product Management at Supermicro, you will own and groom the end-to-end Switch software roadmap, lead industry forums to promote Supermicro's networking switch software position, and create differentiated product strategies that set us apart from the competition. You will proactively engage with customers to capture emerging needs for networking switch software, drive follow-up, and deliver executive-level updates and briefing meetings that strengthen strategic relationships. This role serves as the bridge between customer requirements, switch technical innovation, and business growth, ensuring Supermicro delivers cutting-edge networking switch software that powers next-generation data center infrastructure.

Product Leadership & Roadmap Ownership
  • Groom, own, and evolve the networking switch software roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer demands, and Supermicro's long-term vision for high-performance Layer 2/3 switching, routing, and data center fabrics.
  • Develop and execute differentiated roadmaps for networking switch software that clearly position Supermicro ahead of competitors through unique features, performance advantages, automation capabilities, and ecosystem integration.
  • Translate customer pain points and industry requirements into actionable networking switch software specifications, features, and priorities.


Industry Leadership & External Representation
  • Lead Supermicro's participation and influence in key industry forums, open-source communities, standards bodies, and consortia to promote Supermicro's networking switch software position and shape future industry direction.
  • Act as a thought leader and advocate for Supermicro's networking switch software solutions both internally and externally.

Customer Engagement & Strategic Partnership
  • Proactively engage with key customers to understand evolving needs for networking switch software, provide technical and strategic guidance on C implementations, and ensure timely follow-up on requirements and feedback.
  • Deliver executive updates and executive briefing meetings with customers and senior stakeholders to communicate product vision, networking switch software roadmap progress, and value propositions.

Salary Range

$220,000 - $245,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
