Full Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking a senior, deeply technical product leader to own Search and Curated Experiences AlphaSense. Search is the front door to a corpus of hundreds of millions of business documents, and the relevance, ranking, document-type coverage, filtering, and performance you own sit underneath every product surface. Curated Experiences define how AlphaSense's content, functionality, and intelligence show up in pre-built experiences that act as a launchpad for our customers' research - everything from company profiles and industry profiles, to monitoring and beyond.

This is a leadership role, not a feature role. You will set the search strategy, own the metrics, and be the person the organization turns to drive impact with both Search and Curated Experiences. You will lead a small team, including a domain-expert for Curated Experiences. We expect you to own these programs end to end, with the judgment, drive, and initiative to take them all the way.

What You'll Do
  • Own both Search and Curated Experiences: Relevance, ranking, query understanding, document-type coverage, filters, latency, and reliability across every surface that depends on search are your ownership areas, alongside adoption and engagement of company profiles and future new curated experiences.
  • Define the strategy: Set and defend a roadmap that balances relevance quality, coverage, and performance against clear business priorities.
  • Build evaluation and measurement: Stand up the metrics, benchmarks, and experimentation needed to know whether search is getting better, and to prove it.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner closely with Knowledge Graph, SuperAnalyst / AI, Engineering, and Design so that search and the experiences built on top of it move together.
  • Lead and grow a team: Manage and mentor the curated-experiences / domain-expert PM, set clear ownership, and raise the bar for the search org as it grows.
  • Execute and deliver: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle - from strategy and experimentation through launch, post-launch analysis, and iteration.

Who You Are
  • Deeply Technical: You have built search and relevance systems at scale - e.g., a Google Search-caliber background or equivalent depth in ranking, retrieval, query understanding, and evaluation. You can reason fluently about representation, freshness, quality, and system-design tradeoffs.
  • Strong Ownership & Drive: You take programs end to end and operate autonomously. You set direction, make the calls, and are accountable for the outcome.
  • A People Leader: You can manage and grow PMs, set clear lines of ownership, and resolve ambiguity rather than create it.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: You balance business goals with technical capability and let metrics, not opinion, settle questions of search quality.
  • Strong Customer Orientation: You understand how sophisticated users search and form conviction, and you use interviews, usability testing, and behavioral data to validate hypotheses.
  • Clear Communicator: You can align engineering, design, and product marketing around a roadmap and gain buy-in to drive high-impact work.
  • Domain Experience a Plus: Direct experience in financial services, capital markets, or with our core customers (financial services, corporate strategy, consulting) is a plus, but not required.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

Base Compensation Range

$275,000-$290,000 USD
