Title and Summary

Director, Product Solutions & Enablement - SME Commercial Payments

Mastercard's Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) SME team helps financial institutions, fintechs and business partners bring innovative payment solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. Working closely with issuers, fintechs, partners and merchants, the team drives commercialization, market adoption and ecosystem growth across a portfolio of commercial payment solutions, including virtual cards, spend controls, expense management and supplier payment optimisation capabilities. Through close collaboration with customers and stakeholders across the region, the team helps accelerate the digitisation of B2B payments and unlock new growth opportunities for the SME segment.

We are seeking a Director, Product Solutions & Enablement - SME Commercial Payments to serve as the North American commercialization lead for a portfolio of SME payment platforms. As part of a highly collaborative global team, you will act as the bridge between global product teams and regional stakeholders, driving market adoption, stakeholder enablement and customer engagement across North America. This is a product commercialization role rather than a product development role, requiring a unique blend of payments expertise, technical fluency and commercial acumen to help customers, partners and internal teams successfully deploy and scale innovative B2B payment solutions.

Role
• Serve as the North American subject matter expert for Mastercard's SME payment solutions portfolio, including virtual cards, spend controls, expense management and supplier-payment capabilities.
• Develop and execute regional go-to-market and commercialization strategies that drive adoption, engagement and business growth across North American markets.
• Partner closely with business development, account management, product and regional stakeholders to identify and advance strategic opportunities.
• Support customer, issuer, fintech and partner engagements across the solution lifecycle, from opportunity identification and solution design through implementation and adoption.
• Serve as the technical-commercial subject matter expert for regional stakeholders, helping navigate product capabilities, use cases, integrations and market-specific requirements.
• Help stakeholders understand complex payment capabilities by translating technical concepts into clear customer value propositions.
• Provide guidance on solution architecture, APIs, integrations and payment flows to support implementations and customer discussions.
• Design and deliver enablement materials, product training, use cases and commercialization playbooks for internal and external stakeholders.
• Gather regional market intelligence, customer feedback and competitive insights to influence product priorities and future enhancements.
• Build strong relationships across global and regional teams to accelerate adoption, execution and long-term growth of strategic initiatives across North America.

All About You
• Deep experience within commercial payments, card issuing, issuer processing, fintech, embedded finance or related payment technology environments, with a strong understanding of B2B payment use cases.
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including authorization, clearing, settlement and transaction flows.
• Able to seamlessly navigate both technical and commercial conversations, translating complex payment capabilities into clear business value for customers and partners.
• Experience working with API-driven platforms and integrations; able to discuss technical concepts confidently without requiring hands-on software development expertise.
• Experience supporting API-based, platform-based or integration-heavy payment solutions in customer-facing environments.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across multiple functions, markets and levels of seniority.
• Experience supporting customer-facing sales, solutioning, commercialization or product enablement activities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling training materials, product narratives and customer-facing content.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity across multiple markets.
• Experience building relationships across regional and global teams and driving outcomes through influence rather than direct authority.
• Passion for helping customers solve business problems through innovative payment solutions and emerging commercial payment technologies.
