Full Job Description
Digital Content Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team in Melville, NY. This position reports to the Marketing Manager - Communications and will work closely with the entire Marketing Team.

We're looking for a creative, digitally savvy professional to lead our social media presence and digital content across our website and platforms. You'll be the point person for all things social and digital, developing campaigns, managing content, coordinating website updates, and ensuring our online presence is fresh, engaging, and aligned with our brand.

You'll work closely with our Communications Specialists, Multimedia team, SEO consultant, and Director of Marketing to keep our digital footprint dynamic and purposeful. Job Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning
  • Develop digital content strategies aligned with short-term and long-term marketing goals in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with business priorities, firm initiatives, and market activity
  • Research industry trends and competitor activity to ensure our content stays relevant, timely, and competitive
  • Stay current on digital media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep our content strategy fresh and competitive
  • Bring forward creative ideas for improving website engagement, digital storytelling, and social media performance


Social Media Management & Engagement
  • Under the direction of the Communications Manager, own and manage our social media presence across all platforms using Hootsuite,
  • Develop creative campaigns, identify trends, and bring forward proactive ideas that elevate our brand
  • Monitor and respond to audience engagement across social media platforms in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with Communications Specialists to source content, stories, and project highlights for social media and digital platforms
  • Attend firm events such as groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings and other milestones to capture photo and video content for social media and digital platforms, coordinating with the Multimedia team for postproduction.


Content Creation & Copywriting
  • Write and edit compelling digital content including social media posts, website pages, project case studies, service descriptions, and other online resources
  • Transform technical information into accessible, engaging content for our target audiences including clients, potential clients, partners, and agencies
  • Create, publish, and manage engaging content across social media, the website, and other digital platforms ensuring consistency in brand voice, style, and tone
  • Support creation of multimedia content including text, imagery, and video assets for digital platforms
  • Coordinate with the Multimedia team on implementation of content changes in WordPress and ensure updates go live accurately and on time


Website Content Management & Governance
  • Serve as the point person for coordinating website content updates across our 500+ page site
  • Schedule, prioritize, and track updates in collaboration with the Director of Marketing, Communications Specialists, and Multimedia team.
  • QA all website content before and after updates go live
  • Conduct regular reviews of website content to identify outdated or underperforming pages and coordinate updates accordingly


Digital Performance & Optimization
  • Work with our SEO consultant to ensure all digital content incorporates keyword strategy and SEO best practices to maximize reach and search visibility
  • Monitor and analyze web traffic, social media metrics, and content performance, identifying best practices and providing recommendations for improvement


Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in social media management, digital content, or a related role
  • Proven experience managing social media platforms professionally across multiple channels
  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiences
  • Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, accessible, and engaging content
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and how to incorporate keywords naturally into digital content
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, brings ideas forward, and doesn't wait to be told what to do
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Collaborative team player who works well across departments and with diverse stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in professional services, A/E/C industry, or B2B environment
  • Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems
  • Experience developing social media campaigns from concept to execution
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with Canva or similar tools
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics


The compensation range for this role is $24-65/hr
