We are recruiting for a Digital Business Analyst to join our Global Wealth Management (GWM) Digital Product Team. This role will work closely with all areas of GWM to deliver strategic initiatives that enhance the digital Wealth client experience and drive digital transformation.
As a Digital Business Analyst, you will report to the Senior Manager, Business Analyst and play a critical role in shaping client-facing authenticated platforms by translating digital product strategies into actionable requirements. You will ensure Engineering and Design teams have the clarity needed to build the right solutions that deliver value to clients and the Business.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate high-level Product Briefs from the Senior Digital Product Owner into detailed user stories
  • Define precise and testable acceptance criteria for each user story
  • Analyze and model existing Business and Agile Scrum processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with the technical team to understand system capabilities and constraints
  • Clearly communicate trade-offs, impacts, and dependencies in business and end user terms
  • Act as a bridge between the business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear and consistent communication
  • Work closely with the Design team to ensure that the visual design and user experience are accurately translated into functional specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and build consensus among stakeholders in partnership with the Senior Digital Product Owner
  • Report to the Senior Manager, Business Analyst and support Senior Product Owners by refining the product backlog and ensuring user stories are ready for development
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, story refinement and retrospectives
  • Clarify requirements and answer questions from the Development, Design and QA teams throughout the sprint


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
  • A University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst in complex, enterprise environments
  • Strong financial services industry experience is preferred
  • Proven experience with customer journey mapping, story mapping, and value-driven backlog design
  • The ability to think holistically across channels, systems, and user personas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to stakeholders and operational audiences
  • Experience facilitating workshops, working sessions, and cross-functional discussions
  • Experience in illustrating/documenting business processes
  • Training / experience in Agile working models
  • Experience in writing user stories and documenting acceptance criteria
  • Demonstrated superior computer skills, including MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • The ability to present and tailor the message and delivery based on the audience
  • Detailed oriented
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management concepts an asset (financial planning, estate planning, investments etc.)
  • Familiarity with client facing applications is an asset
  • Spanish language fluency is an asset
