Description

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cardiomyopathy. There will be an expectation of the ability of the selected candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases is required. Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Teaching responsibilities may include participation in small group workshops and providing clinical education to medical students, medical residents, and cardiology fellows. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.

Clinical responsibilities may include evaluation and treatment of patients with inherited cardiovascular disorders including one or more the following: inherited cardiomyopathy, aortopathy, arrhythmia, and dyslipidemia and others. Candidates will provide services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and affiliated practice sites.
