Full Job Description
Vice President, Health Communications Strategy

The Vice President, Health Communications Strategy will serve as a senior consulting resource within the practice, actively participating in articulating the communication and engagement value proposition and development and delivery of client's employee benefits and total rewards strategies.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Hammonton, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, or Lake Mary, FL offices. Although we would prefer candidates to work from the above offices, we are willing to consider candidates near any local Aon office.

What the day will look like
  • Consult with clients at the C-suite, Benefits Leader and/or EVP HR level.
  • Serve as trusted partner and influential advisor to clients.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new client solutions and strategies to level up their employee benefits education, engagement and total rewards plans.
  • Demonstrate effective and professional presentation skills.
  • Serves as a team leader to senior communication consulting professionals, as assigned.
  • Custom communication creation for clients including Personas, Employee Value Proposition, Change Management Communications in support of benefits harmonization, reaching disparate populations with multi-channel solutions, identifying and understanding how to reach audiences and generations.
  • Methods to track communications are reaching audiences.
  • Anticipate client needs through study of their industry trends and business environment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 10+ years of relevant experience including expert experience in understanding, content writing and creation of employee benefits channels for reaching diverse populations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assimilate source materials, input from subject matter experts and other relevant documentation to create strategic recommendations or succinct content.
  • Understands role on project or on team but also is cognizant of additional ways to add value to the client or team.
  • Able to collaborate efficiently and effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Accountable for assignments/projects to ensure they're delivered with quality and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated operational efficiency and overall professional excellence.
  • Demonstrated financial management and analysis skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and inspiring others.

  • Ability to travel and work at client locations occasionally (up to 50%).

Education

Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000-$160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
