What you'll do...

The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for leading maintenance operations within a distribution or fulfillment facility to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role drives preventative maintenance programs, manages facility assets, develops high-performing teams, and partners across operations to support business objectives while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. What You'll Do
Lead Maintenance Operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational performance.
  • Manage maintenance activities for material handling equipment, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration systems, and building infrastructure.
  • Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
Drive Business Results
  • Execute the maintenance strategy and business plan to support facility goals and operational objectives.
  • Forecast staffing needs, workloads, and resource requirements to meet business demands.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive accountability for maintenance performance and service levels.
  • Utilize data, reporting, and analytics to identify trends, improve processes, and support decision-making.
Financial Management
  • Manage maintenance budgets, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor asset utilization and maintenance costs to optimize facility performance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with financial goals.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, hazardous waste, stormwater, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety through training, coaching, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, documentation, and operating standards.
Talent Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, technicians, and hourly associates.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development efforts.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment where associates can learn, grow, and succeed.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with associates, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Communicate priorities, expectations, and results clearly both verbally and in writing.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $156,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification (e.g., Maintenance, Controls, Electrical) and 1 year of experience in an operations, distribution, logistics, or retail environment with responsibilities including: supervising and developing managers/supervisors, managing workload across multiple departments, participating in hiring and promotions. OR at least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or related technical environment with the same leadership and staffing responsibilities listed above.
Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
