Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency.
This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications
- Systems Engineering and/or architecture experience
- Aptitude to perform functional and performance-based thread engineering/CONOPs
- Experience supporting trade study (definition and execution)
- Strong communication and team work skills
- Experience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programs
- Experience owning TPMs for a development program
- MBSE experience
- Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET Security Clearance. Thus US Citizenship required
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- 3+ years of Systems Engineering and/or Architect experience
- System Integration Experience
- Background in architecting and/or designing communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missions
- Experience defining, developing, or tailoring Digital Models of complex systems
- Active or Current DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00
