Standard Job DescriptionThe IT Solution Architect will lead the technical design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA's
Product Compliance module for the Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) domain within 1LMX Production Operations ERP Team. This role bridges business requirements with SAP technology, ensuring that product-related regulatory, safety, and environmental data are captured, processed, and reported accurately across the enterprise. This role specifically has strong intersections with warehouse management, bills of material, transportation management and storage in regards to Product Compliance.
Core Responsibilities- Solution Ownership & Standards - Own the "WHAT" solution we leverage; guide the team to follow industry-best and enterprise-approved standards.
- Solution Design Authority - Serve as the overall design authority for 1LMX ERP PTS systems, specifically warehouse management, transportation & delivery, and global trade services, with a strong focus on product-compliance intersections.
- Technical Leadership for Product Compliance - Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance module (ESH) ensuring accurate regulatory, safety, and environmental data capture and reporting.
- Architectural Communication - Describe the software's structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects to project stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Feature Definition & Road-Mapping - Define features, development phases, and solution requirements; create detailed specifications that drive solution delivery.
- Integration & Intersections - Design and oversee integrations between Product Compliance and core production functions (warehouse management, BOM, transportation management, storage).
- Stakeholder & Product-Line Advocacy - Act as spokesperson for multiple product lines, working in lockstep with each line's product owner to align technical strategy with business goals.
- Customer-Technical Relationship - Own the overall technical relationship and strategy between the customer (internal business partners) and the organization, ensuring alignment, transparency, and value delivery.
- Governance & Quality Assurance - Define security roles, data-ownership rules, and conduct design/code reviews to meet audit and compliance requirements.
- Mentorship & Documentation - Coach junior architects/developers and produce clear documentation (architecture diagrams, interface specs, test cases, user guides).
Designs, develops and oversees system architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities. Serves as focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture. Ensures conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Develops systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition. Supports internal and external design reviews. Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.

ExperienceAt least 2 years with the Product Compliance module or similar ESH functionality or ESH functional expertise within these processes.
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures, ABAP basics, and integration tools (SAP CPI, PI/PO, OData, IDoc).
Domain UnderstandingFamiliarity with key environmental and safety regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, GHS, OSHA) and how they map to product data.
EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
CommunicationAbility to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear design documentation.
TeamworkProven experience working in cross-functional project teams, following agile or SAP Activate methodologies.

Architecture Skills• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and cloud-native design patterns.• Ability to produce architectural artefacts: solution blueprints, interface design documents, data dictionaries, and security concept notes.
Project Delivery• Demonstrated success in large-scale SAP roll-outs or greenfield implementations.• Experience with agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe) and SAP Activate methodology.
Education & Certifications• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Product Compliance (or equivalent).

Pay InformationGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
