Standard Job DescriptionThe Work Here at Lockheed Martin's Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business in Moorestown, NJ we are responsible for integrating, testing, and demonstrating some of our customers most complex systems. As the Engineer in our System Integration and Test (SI&T) department, you will be a part of the team responsible for high level system design, system test planning and test execution for our key customers, including US Navy, US Coast Guard, US Missile Defense Agency, US Air Force, and international customers.
This position will serve as the Maritime Trainer Integration and Test (I&T) Lead within the Training Products Center (TPC). The selected candidate will provide technical leadership for the TPC Multi-Element Integration & Test (MEIT) team supporting supporting Aegis Ashore Team Trainer (AATT), Integrated Virtual Operator Trainer (IVOT), and Synthetic Combat Operator Trainer (SCOT), while also owning I&T exectution for the Littoral Commbat Ship (LCS), and Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) trainer programs.
In this position, the successful candidate will experience responsibilities in one or more of the following domains:
-Provide technical leadership and oversight for integration testing of multi-element systems, ensuring that testing is thorough, efficient, and effective.
-Lead daily TPC testing across multiple baselines (AEGIS and SSDS), including schedule execution, tasking, and staffing.
-Close collaboration with the customer (internal and external), program office, and chiefs org to ensure team is executing to agreed-upon delivery schedule
-Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans to validate system performance, functionality, and interfaces
-System-level integration of software and hardware components to verify system requirements in a lab and end-user environment
-Data analysis to evaluate, document, troubleshoot, and correct system/subsystem anomalies found during scenario testing
-Test Procedures and Test Reports to verify requirements
-Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Additionally, the successful candidate will work with our Government customers and customer representatives in all of the above tasks.
Basic Qualifications• BS Degree in Engineering or STEM field with minimum of 5 years' professional experience OR minimum of 4 years' Military related experience in lieu of Degree.
• Knowledge of the Aegis Combat System
• Understanding of design, continuous integration and validation of software and hardware system level components
• Understanding of technical process for testing complex software systems
• Working knowledge of Unix and/or Linux operating systems
• Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program
• Availability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required by the supported program
• Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)
Desired Skills• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams
• Experience leading or coordinating integration and test activities including task planning, schedule execution, and technical issue resolution
• Experience working closely with customer and/or customer representatives to develop test plans and schedules and support successful test execution
• Experience with virtualized equipment
• Knowledge of Navy ship and crew environments, including structure, tasking, communications, and relations, and knowledge of Navy ship test approach, sequence, milestones, and process
• Experience integrating external products through subcontract vendors
• Test Automation experience
• Strong leadership, teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills
