Full Job Description

Position summary

Huron Canada is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Management Lead to bring deep supply chain business acumen to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management implementations for manufacturing and distribution clients. This is a Lead role, not a Solution Architect role: the primary mandate is to understand a client's end-to-end supply chain operations, planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics, deeply enough to shape business process design and hold client stakeholders through it, working side by side with the solution architecture and technical teams who own the underlying system build. The Lead directs how AI-enabled tools, including Copilot and other Dynamics 365 AI-assisted capabilities, are used in workshops, requirements capture, and testing to increase the speed and quality of the implementation. This is an on-site role based in the Toronto, Ontario area and requires Canadian citizenship.

Manager, Supply Chain Management, Microsoft Dynamics 365

Toronto, Ontario area. On client site, with travel as the engagement requires.

Key responsibilities

Business process leadership

  • Process ownership. Lead client business process reviews across planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics, assessing current-state maturity and shaping future-state design.

  • Requirements ownership. Own functional requirements definition for the supply chain workstream, translating business needs into a solution design that the architecture and technical teams configure and build.

  • Design facilitation. Facilitate and document design sessions with client business process owners and subject matter experts to confirm requirements are met and understood.

  • Cross-functional alignment. Understand the cross-functional effect of supply chain decisions on manufacturing throughput and financial performance, and coordinate with the Manufacturing and Finance Leads accordingly.

AI-enabled delivery acceleration

  • AI-enabled acceleration. Direct the use of AI-enabled tools, Copilot, and Dynamics 365 AI-assisted capabilities in discovery, requirements capture, test scripting, and user enablement to compress timelines without sacrificing quality.

  • AI-informed design. Identify where AI-driven forecasting, demand planning, or inventory optimization features can strengthen the client's future-state supply chain design.

Client relationship and stakeholder management

  • Relationship building. Build and sustain trusted, on-site relationships with client supply chain executives, planning teams, and warehouse and logistics leadership.

  • Client point of contact. Serve as the client's day-to-day point of contact for supply chain questions throughout the implementation.

Team leadership and delivery quality

  • Delivery leadership. Lead and guide internal and client team members through supply chain configuration validation, testing, training, and deployment.

  • Mentorship. Mentor consultants on supply chain business process design and client-facing delivery discipline.

Required qualifications

  • Canadian citizenship (required for this client engagement).

  • Willingness and ability to work on-site at the client location in the Toronto, Ontario area, with travel as the engagement requires.

  • 5-7+ years of business acumen in end-to-end supply chain operations: planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics, gained through industry or consulting experience.

  • A track record of leading supply chain business process design and requirements definition on ERP implementations, in a role accountable for the business outcome rather than the technical build.

  • Demonstrated experience working in or with a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading design workshops with client executives and subject matter experts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build durable client relationships.

Preferred qualifications

None of the following are required. They are bonus attributes that strengthen a candidate's ability to direct a Dynamics 365 supply chain workstream, on top of the core business acumen qualifications above.

  • Direct, hands-on functional experience with Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (planning, procurement, inventory, or warehouse management modules).

  • Automotive industry experience, including OEM or Tier 1/2 supplier environments.

  • Experience with AI-driven forecasting, demand planning, or intelligent automation tools.

  • Microsoft certifications relevant to Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (e.g., MB-330).

  • Prior consulting experience at a systems integrator or professional services firm.

What makes you successful in this role

  • Deep business acumen. You connect supply chain process decisions to the client's broader manufacturing and financial operations, and can speak fluently with a VP of Supply Chain or a warehouse manager alike.

  • Self-starter and motivator. You take ownership of the business outcome and drive requirements to closure without waiting to be asked.

  • Meticulous. You hold the details of complex supply chain processes in view at the same time as the big picture.

  • Relationship builder. You build trust quickly with on-site client stakeholders and sustain it across the life of the engagement.
