Job Description

We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (Software Maintenance) V.

Located on-site in Chesapeake, VA.

ESN is seeking a Subject Matter Expert V to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provides near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provides three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes manual and automation of software testing, Scrum Master, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/JAMA/Confluence, and project support.

Experience Requirement:
  • Eighteen (18) years of hands-on experience with software development and maintenance projects/programs; has a broad range of knowledge and experience in application of Agile software development processes.
  • Specific experience with DoD C4ISR, maintenance, logistics, or business systems preferred.
  • Experience shall include three (3) of the following five (5) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Data Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated leadership in supporting information technology solutions.


Education Requirement:
  • Technical Training that includes software maintenance.

Security Clearance:
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
