Full Job Description
Job Summary:

As a Structural Connection Design Engineer at SteelFab, you'll design the bolted and welded connections that form dynamic structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Thoroughly assess contract structural and architectural documents to identify and clarify design requirements.
  2. Analyze load cases and combinations
  3. Evaluate connection options to find a balance of strength, economy, and ease of construction.
  4. Design high-strength bolted connections.
  5. Engineer welded connections.
  6. Utilize structural software (RAM, Risa, Bentley Structural, etc.) to analyze joints and connections.
  7. Create and coordinate 3D models using Tekla Structures, Revit, and other advanced software.
  8. Provide engineering support the shop fabrication process, ensuring designs are executed flawlessly.
  9. Offer on-the-ground engineering support during field erection activities.
  10. Evaluate projects for opportunities to enhance value and constructability.
  11. Attend design progress meetings, coordinating with General Contractors, Architects, and Structural Engineers to keep everyone aligned.
