We are looking for a
Staff Software Engineer, Frontend Platform with deep expertise in frontend engineering to help shape how these applications are built across ArsenalOS. You will define frontend architectures, build reusable platform capabilities, and establish patterns that enable product teams to deliver high quality web, mobile, and progressive web experiences at scale.
The ideal candidate has experience building complex production applications as well as the shared systems behind them, including component libraries, application frameworks, developer tooling, frontend infrastructure, and architectural patterns used across multiple teams. You should be comfortable moving between hands on product development and broader technical leadership, identifying common problems and turning them into solutions that create leverage across the organization.
This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals beyond the frontend, thoughtful technical judgment, and the ability to drive architecture and adoption across organizational boundaries.
Required Qualifications- Deep experience building and architecting modern web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and related technologies.
- Experience defining frontend architecture and scalable patterns across large applications or multiple product teams.
- Experience building reusable frontend infrastructure, shared libraries, component systems, or application frameworks.
- Strong understanding of browser fundamentals, application performance, testing, observability, and reliability.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals beyond the frontend, including APIs, authentication and authorization, data modeling, and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience leading technically ambiguous initiatives from architecture through implementation and adoption.
- Ability to identify common problems across teams and turn them into reusable platform capabilities and paved paths.
- Ability to influence technical direction across teams while remaining hands on in production code.
- US Citizen is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience building frontend platforms, design systems, application frameworks, or shared developer infrastructure.
- Experience with progressive web applications, mobile applications, or React Native.
- Experience with offline first, resilient, kiosk, industrial, or other operationally critical user experiences.
- Experience with monorepos, shared libraries, package management, and large TypeScript codebases.
- Experience with enterprise or manufacturing software such as MES, WMS, PLM, or ERP.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Secret/TS clearance is preferred.
US Salary Range
$220,000-$292,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
