Full Job Description
Role Objectives and Responsibilities
• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap and requirements for the oncology data platform,
aligned with N-Power's business goals and the needs of our ProECA studies.
• Manage the platform as a product: define its customers (biostatisticians, quantitative
scientists, clinical operations, and pharma sponsors), set success metrics, and track
adoption and value.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, data architects, informaticists, AI
engineers, quantitative scientists, clinical abstractors, and medical oncologists.
• Build regulatory-grade evidence into the platform: source-to-dataset traceability across
EHR and imaging, data provenance, audit trails, and fit-for-purpose data quality aligned
with FDA guidance on external controls.
• Catalog and be able to point to end-user documentation for each data platform release:
data dictionaries, vocabularies, CDISC-aligned specifications, data quality scorecards,
licensing, and de-identification certifications.
• Produce external-facing collateral for pharma and health system partners: capability
decks, platform architecture, marketecture, data flow diagrams, and the data roadmap.
• Prioritize relentlessly and manage trade-offs across various data use cases.
• Manage releases, build vs. buy decisions, and the impact of platform changes on active
studies.
• Close process gaps in execution, rollout, and ongoing support through continuous
stakeholder feedback.
Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies, & Skills
• 8+ years of product management experience owning a healthcare data product in a
regulated environment.
• Deep background in oncology clinical data: AJCC staging, histology, biomarker and
genomic testing, lines of therapy, RECIST-based response, progression, and survival
endpoints.
• Working command of FDA guidance on externally controlled trials, use of EHR data in
clinical investigations, 21 CFR Part 11, ICH GCP, CDISC (SDTM, ADaM), and HIPAA.
• Deep knowledge of EHR data structures and workflows (HL7, FHIR), clinical
terminologies (ICD-10, SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, NCI Thesaurus), and data
governance.
• Strong grounding in data platform architecture, data modeling, normalization, and
transformation.
• Experience writing functional and technical specifications for data platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and data intuition: uses metrics to evaluate decisions and drive
action.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a track record of aligning
oncologists, abstractors, biostatisticians, and engineers.
• Deep empathy for platform users, including quantitative scientists, epidemiologists, and
study teams, and the ability to turn their needs into product requirements.
Preferred:
• Understanding of the oncology drug development lifecycle and how sponsors analyze
data across clinical development, regulatory, and medical affairs.
• Experience with prospective clinical research operations: protocols, EDC, source data
verification, monitoring, and inspection readiness.
• Experience with AI-assisted clinical data abstraction.
• Experience with data delivery and access platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and
APIs.
• Agile delivery with tools such as JIRA.
