SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close activities, audit preparation, financial analysis, and system implementation initiatives for the Finance function. This role partners with internal stakeholders and headquarters in Japan to ensure reliable financial data, strengthen reporting processes, and provide analysis that supports budgeting, forecasting, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead month-end close activities, including transmission of North American trial balances to headquarters in Japan.
  • Collaborate with Finance team members to prepare quarterly audit packages.
  • Support implementation of the Infor financial system, including process coordination, testing support, and issue follow-up as needed.
  • Perform monthly post-close financial analysis and conduct SG&A analytics to support budget and forecast requests.
  • Support ad hoc projects and requests as needed.
  • Occasional domestic travel as needed (less than 10%)


JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of three years of public accounting experience; Big Four experience preferred.
    • Minimum of two years of corporate accounting or financial reporting experience; automotive industry experience preferred.
    • Active CPA required
    • Infor ERP system experience a plus
    • Experience with data analytics and AI-enabled automation in financial reporting or financial analysis highly preferred.
    • FP&A experience a plus
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace; SAP experience preferred.

      2. Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks under pressure
    • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and build trustworthy business partnerships.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

No direct supervisory responsibility is required for this position. The ideal candidate should demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders. The role may evolve over time based on business needs, individual capability, and organizational structure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee must be able to sit and stand for a normal amount of time, move around an office with average mobility, and conduct a normal amount of work on a computer. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, and lift to 10 pounds.

SALARY

At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $78,178.00 and $117,267.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
