Sr Financial Analyst, Decision SupportFull-time / Benefits Eligible / Hybrid ScheduleLocation: 1077 Gorge Blvd, Akron, OH 44310Summary:Assumes lead responsibilities in developing financial analyses and analytics to assess and support System-wide growth and re-alignment initiatives including Service Lines, Institutes, Business Development Council and Performance Innovation. Prepares financial analysis and pro forma plans as requests for: Summa Health System, Summa Health System-owned Hospitals, System Ventures, and affiliates. Coordinates with SHN/SIC/SummaCare; Oversees, develops and updates profitability and performance models and projections. Prepares and presents financial performance measurements and projections to all levels of management. Responsibilities include departmental analysis, profitability and performance projections, and revenue and cost assessment for existing and proposed business opportunities. Provides decision support to operating and senior management, including: cost/benefit analysis (ROI, NPV & IRR); operational, organizational, and staffing analysis; and budget and forecast reviews. Coordinates and oversees special project requests.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Operations Management
b. Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred
2. Experience & Training Required:
a. Four (4) years related professional and business experience in a technical/financial healthcare analysis or consulting position
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Knowledge of acute case and integrated delivery systems
b. Expertise in current modeling, spreadsheet and presentation techniques and applications
c. Superior analytical skills and abilities; requisite project management and interpersonal skills
d. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with medical, operational and financial departments
e. Public speaking and presentation skills; ability to communicate and present financial and operational analysis concepts to management and staff
f. Ability to work independently within management guidelines
g. Ability to maintain confidentiality based on access to proprietary financial, operational and competitive information
h. Assume personal accountability for the preparation and completion of projects and analysis
i. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.
$37.40/hr - $56.11/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
