This position can be based within or Headquarters in Cleveland, OH or the following facility locations:

St. Louis, MO. Guilford CT., Hamilton, OH or Amherst, NY.

Position Summary

The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution within a fast-paced labeling manufacturing environment. This role oversees Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), demand and supply planning, procurement, and supplier management to ensure optimal service levels, cost efficiency, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and brings deep expertise in manufacturing supply chains, preferably within packaging or labeling.

Primary Duties and Essential Functions
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business growth, customer service targets, and cost objectives.
  • Lead and optimize the SIOP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment between sales, operations, finance, and procurement.
  • Oversee demand planning, supply planning and inventory management across multiple facilities.
  • Direct procurement operations, including, contract management, and supplier performance improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and quality, particularly for raw materials such as substrates, adhesives, and inks.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor supply chain effectiveness, including forecast accuracy, inventory turns, OTIF (on-time, in-full), and cost savings.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning and procurement functions, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and finance leadership to align operational plans with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supply disruptions, demand variability, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner directly with customers and internal stakeholders to proactively resolve supply chain issues, communicate risks, and develop solutions that support continuity of supply and service commitments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.


Requirements

  • Strong experience in SIOP/S&OP processes within a manufacturing environment; labeling, packaging, or print industry experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in demand planning, procurement, and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP and planning systems.
  • Track record of driving operational improvements and cost savings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience with multi-site or global supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with label-specific materials and production processes.
  • Certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
