Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality and process development in automotive.
• Experience with injection molding or complex seating systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, lean principles, and 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Project management experience is highly desired.
• Experience with supplier greensite start-ups or functional plastics preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Must be willing to travel 50%-70% of the time domestically and internationally.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global Category team for assigned commodities.
• Plan and execute risk-based audit activities globally.
• Identify and drive improvements to mitigate organization-wide issues.
• Engage management to understand stakeholder needs and concerns.
• Develop and present materials for critical audiences, including sensitive topics.
• Launch programs with stakeholders and supplier teams at Volvo.
• Monitor team compliance with regulatory requirements and policies.
• Develop and implement procedures, advising on their application.
• Provide training and coaching for performance improvement.
• Support the creation of annual Commodity Business Plans.
• Evaluate suppliers before sourcing decisions.
• Lead APQP reviews and manage supplier-related actions.
• Conduct operational assessments and lead continuous improvement with suppliers.
• Manage supplier quality incidents using 8D, resolving delivery issues.
