Special Procedures Technologist - Diagnostic Radiology (8-hour shifts, Evenings) (Full-Time)
As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will assist radiologists and physicians in performing invasive and interventional radiologic procedures. This role involves operating advanced angiographic and interventional imaging equipment and providing sterile procedure support to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.
Additional Note: This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.
Tentative Variable Work Schedule: 12:00pm - 08:30pm (hours may vary slightly)
As a successful candidate, you will: - Perform radiographic procedures, both general and within designated specialties
- Prepare room and equipment for patient
- Assist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies
- Prepare reagents following standard formulas and procedures
- Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events, before, during and after procedure. Take appropriate action following established guidelines
- Evaluate exam for technical quality and completeness and submits for review via PACS system.
- Prepare the patient, explains the procedure, and ensures patient's cooperation during the examination.
Your qualifications should include: - High School or equivalent Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
- 2 years in Diagnostic radiology
- AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
- CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy)
- ARRT
- CPR
