Novant Health is a four-state integrated network of physician clinics, outpatient centers and hospitals. The Novant Health network consists of more than 1,200 physicians and 25,000 employees at nearly 500 locations, including 14 medical centers and hundreds of outpatient facilities and physician clinics. Headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Novant Health serves more than 4 million patients annually. In 2014, Novant Health provided more than $639 million in community benefit, including charity care and services. The organization was formed on July 1, 1997 by the merger of Carolina Medicorp of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Presbyterian Health Services of Charlotte, North Carolina. Novant Healths new system-wide brand launched April 17, 2013. The new logo, mostly using the color aubergine, is the letter N followed by what appears to be a colon, but which also reveals a hidden H when seen with the words "Novant Health" on the right; these are in gray and stacked in all capitals on the right. The color aubergine represented "excellence" and "warmth." Novant Health announced a new affiliation with St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital on April 21, 2015. The new affiliate clinic is located in Charlotte, North Carolina and is the seventh one in the country.
