ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Electronic Warfare (EW) division builds next-generation electronic warfare platforms - hardware-enabled, software-defined systems that are fielded, operational, and scaling fast. The EW team operates at a tempo the defense industry isn't used to: delivering novel system configurations into active operations in days, not months, securing major contract awards in under 24 hours, and earning unanimous fielding recommendations from government evaluators. Production is scaling from hundreds to thousands of units across multiple product variants, and the release and delivery challenges are scaling with it.
ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Software Product Manager to own what ships to the operator. EW Mission Applications builds the software between the device and the operator - operator applications, Lattice integrations, shared visualization components, and the internal tooling that the rest of the business line runs on. You will own the roadmap for that surface: which capabilities reach operators, through which channel, and in what order.

EW Mission Applications delivers through multiple channels: each channel has different users, different timelines, and a different definition of done. Teams are organized by product surface rather than by program, so every engineering team supports several programs at once. Every program in the business line wants something from those teams. You decide what gets built, you write down why, and you hold that line when program pressure arrives - which it will, constantly, and for good reasons.

This role is product-focused and technically grounded. You won't write production code day to day, but you need to understand the device SDK boundary, the client architecture, and the integration surface well enough to tell a real blocker from a preference, to write requirements engineering can build against, and to negotiate scope with embedded engineering on the merits.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own the EW Mission Applications product roadmap: what is committed, what is queued, what we declined and why - published and current enough that program management and engineering leads both plan against it
• Run a single intake path for product requirements from programs, customers, partners, and internal teams, and give every request a scoped, sized answer: accept, defer, or decline, with a reason
• Define operator capabilities before design and engineering start - the problem, the workflow, and the acceptance criteria that QA builds integration coverage against
• Deconflict competing program demands on shared engineering teams using a written, defensible prioritization framework
• Represent EW Mission Applications in the recurring device API review: bring the integration needs, justify the priority, agree the build order with embedded engineering, and track requests through to delivery
• Partner with UI design on operator workflows and with QA on test coverage, owning the requirement behind both
• Turn recurring field issues from our mission software engineering team into roadmap items and test coverage on a standing cadence
• Track delivery commitments against actuals and publish the results, so our estimates improve and our release commitments earn credibility
• Brief delivery status, roadmap changes, and risk to stakeholders at every level - engineers, program leadership, and customers - without flattening technical nuance into a status color
• Travel up to 25% to support integration events, deployments, field visits, and customer engagements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years in software product management, technical product ownership, or a closely related role
• Direct ownership of a product roadmap, including the authority and the track record to decline work
• Demonstrated ability to write requirements and acceptance criteria that engineering and test executed against
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - you'll be writing the roadmap, running prioritization calls, and briefing leadership
• Experience owning a software product surface that depended on hardware or firmware built by a team you did not control
• Experience deconflicting priorities across concurrent customers or programs competing for the same engineering capacity
• Ability to read and navigate codebases and API surfaces: you don't need to write production code, but you need to understand what is changing and what it costs
• Comfortable operating with incomplete information and requirements that move
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with operator-facing or mission-critical software where the end user is not the buyer
• Multi-channel product experience: one capability delivered through several front ends, client applications, or partner platforms
• Familiarity with the DoD software ecosystem - CDRL cycles, ATO processes, and program-of-record cadence
• Prior experience in defense technology, electronic warfare, command and control, ISR, or RF systems
• Experience with geospatial or real-time visualization software
• Experience defining products against a hardware roadmap and an SDK or device API boundary
• Experience with edge deployments where systems operate disconnected or in degraded network environments
• Experience scaling product processes during a rapid production ramp

US Salary Range

$166,000-$220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
