Role Description & Responsibilities

Dassault Systèmes is seeking a Software Engineer - 3D CAD to design, develop, and deliver innovative AI-powered software capabilities that enhance user experience, productivity, and engagement within advanced CAD environments.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of intelligent software solutions that improve design and modeling experiences while leveraging user feedback, usage analytics, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Define, design, implement, and continuously improve intelligent software solutions that create measurable value for end users.
  • Develop and enhance CAD-assisted design and modeling experiences using user feedback, usage analytics, and state-of-the-art AI technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to remove product limitations and extend existing system capabilities.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage dependencies across software components.
  • Design and implement software components in accordance with established development processes and engineering standards.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and validation tests aligned with defined KPIs and quality expectations.
  • Apply AI capabilities to CAD modeling automation, design intent capture, and contextual modeling guidance.
  • Contribute to high-performance CAD extensions and APIs using C++ and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-focused software solutions.
  • Promote effective knowledge sharing through technical documentation, code reviews, and technical workshops.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline required; Master's degree or PhD in a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and JavaScript, particularly for high-performance CAD extensions, applications, or APIs.
  • Understanding of CAD ergonomics, drafting standards, and parametric modeling concepts.
  • Ability to apply AI technologies to CAD modeling automation, design intent capture, and contextual modeling guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative mindset with a strong understanding of usability and user-centered software design.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work toward challenging technical goals and deliver results in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Knowledge of 3D geometry with demonstrated practical experience is a plus.
  • Experience with web application development is a plus.


Compensation & Benefits

Dassault Systèmes offers an excellent salary with potential for bonus, commensurate with experience. Salary Pay Transparency

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $110000 and $140000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
