Social Media & Community Manager The RoleWe're looking for a
Social Media & Community Manager who lives and breathes internet culture, obsesses over what makes content go viral, and treats every new series drop like a major theatrical release. This is not a "post and ghost" social media job - it's a full-stack content and community role at the intersection of streaming and AI filmmaking.
You'll own TrueShort's organic social presence across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube - growing our brand across AI filmmakers, building a passionate community, and converting followers into subscribers. You'll also manage a network of UGC creators and automated accounts, making organic social a genuine growth engine for the business.

What You'll DoContent Strategy & Creation- Own the content calendar across TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube - planning, creating, editing, and posting daily
- Develop and execute the overall organic social strategy, balancing brand awareness with subscriber acquisition
- Write sharp, platform-native copy and captions that stop the scroll
- Collaborate with editors and designers to produce polished, on-brand content at a high cadence
- Use AI tools to accelerate content production without sacrificing quality or originality
- Make every new series release feel like a major cultural event - building anticipation, momentum, and conversation
Community & Engagement- Respond to comments, DMs, and replies across all platforms - promptly and with personality
- Proactively engage with relevant creators, accounts, and conversations to grow our reach organically
- Facilitate and grow a passionate community of both fans and AI film enthusiasts
- Engage authentically within the AI filmmaking community on social media
- Handle customer service emails and support tickets, escalating issues where appropriate
Distribution & Growth- Manage a network of UGC creators who post daily on their own accounts - briefing, coordinating, and reviewing their content
- Manage automated organic TikTok accounts as part of a broader distribution strategy
- Drive measurable growth in brand awareness, follower counts, and new subscriber acquisition through organic channels
Analytics & Optimization- Track, report on, and act on performance analytics across all platforms
- Spend dedicated time studying what's going viral on TikTok and Instagram - reverse-engineering trends and applying them to our content
- Continuously test and iterate on formats, hooks, and posting cadences to improve performance
What You Bring- 3-6 years of experience in social media, content, or community - ideally in consumer
- Proven track record of growing an account from the ground up - bring the receipts
- Deep fluency in TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube - you understand how each platform's algorithm works and how to play to its strengths
- Obsessive awareness of internet culture, memes, trends, and what makes things spread
- Genuine love of movies, TV, and storytelling - you'll need it to bring our content to life authentically
- Experience managing or coordinating with UGC creators or influencers
- Comfort using AI tools in your creative workflow
- Strong copywriting instincts - you write captions that get engagement, not just impressions
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage a high-volume content operation without dropping the ball
- Passion for the idea that AI can unlock creativity for independent storytellers
- Bonus: experience in streaming, entertainment, or consumer subscription
