What You'll Be Doing: The RN Assistant Director of Nursing Services compliments the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing and supervising the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide healthcare and nursing services to Nursing Home residents. This position assists with the development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures. The RN Director of Nursing will assist the facility in accomplishing its mission of assuring quality care is delivered at all times. In coordination with the Nursing Center Administrator, CEO, and DON assess, plan, develop, coordinate and directs customer satisfaction, meet all regulatory requirements and BridgePoint Standards.
The RN Assistant Director of Nursing develops and teach modules in clinical and non-clinical areas pertaining to quality assurance, quality improvement and infection control. The ADON serves as Day Supervisor but in ADON role off shift. This key leadership role is responsible for 24 Hour reports, new orders, labs shared with families, doctors, and leadership team. The RN Assistant Director of Nursing works with Human Resources and Staff Development to educate employees in standard precautions and injury prevention. This nurse leader meets facility, local and state standards, but also to better serve customers.

Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing preferred but not required. Certification in Infection Control and knowledge of QI/QA preferred, with current DC RN licensure.
Licenses/Certification: A Registered Nurse who is currently licensed - District of Columbia Department of Health. CPR is required Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and MDS related software.
Experience: Must have experience and competency in quality improvement and ability to work as a team member with diverse residents and staff.
