Full Job Description
The Role
Hadrian's Physical Security team protects the people, factories and export-controlled work behind Hadrian's growth. As we open new factories and bring on new teams, every site needs a security leader on the ground, and the program needs people who help build it across all of our sites.
You will own security at our Torrance campus and be hands on every day: managing the contract security team, walking the site, and acting as the first call for any security risk. This is more than a walk-the-floor role. You'll also own a program area across every Hadrian site, such as investigations, workplace violence prevention, vendor management or security training, and help build a physical security program that keeps pace with the business. You'll partner with site leadership, Facilities, EH&S, People and the Facility Security Officer, and report to the Director of Physical Security. This is an on-site role in Torrance, CA.
What You'll Do
Manage the contract security vendor at the site: set post orders and patrol plans, check the work against them, and hold the vendor to the contract.
Walk the site regularly, find gaps in doors, openings and day-to-day security practice, rank them, and get them fixed.
Lead the response to security incidents and site events as the first security leader on scene, and document them clearly.
Keep site controls in place, including badge access, visitor management, key control, contractor escorts and controlled areas, in partnership with the Facility Security Officer.
Build working relationships with local law enforcement, fire and other emergency services, and partner with site leadership, Facilities, EH&S and People.
Own a program area across every Hadrian site, such as investigations, workplace violence prevention, vendor management, budget or security training.
What We're Looking For
5+ years in corporate, industrial or government security, including time leading a site or a contract security team.
Experience building or improving a security program, not only running a post or a site.
Hands-on experience with access control, video and visitor management systems.
Sound incident judgment and clear writing: incident reports, findings and post orders others can act on.
Comfort working on a production floor and responding after hours when needed.
Ability to hold vendors to a high standard while keeping a strong working relationship.
What Will Set You Apart
Background in intelligence, investigations, workplace violence prevention or security training.
Aerospace, defense or manufacturing experience.
Experience with export-controlled or other controlled environments.
Experience with California workplace violence prevention requirements (SB 553).
PSP or CPP certification.
Benefits for Full-time Employees
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees 401k
Relocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.

About Hadrian
Hadrianadri?ja?n?s]; 24 January 76 – 10 July 138) was Roman emperor from 117 to 138. He was born in Italica, a Roman municipium founded by Italic settlers in Hispania Baetica and he came from a branch of the gens Aelia that originated in the Picenean town of Hadria, the Aeli Hadriani. His father was of senatorial rank and was a first cousin of Emperor Trajan. Hadrian married Trajan's grand-niece Vibia Sabina early in his career before Trajan became emperor and possibly at the behest of Trajan's wife Pompeia Plotina. Plotina and Trajan's close friend and adviser Lucius Licinius Sura were well disposed towards Hadrian. When Trajan died, his widow claimed that he had nominated Hadrian as emperor immediately before his death.
Rome's military and Senate approved Hadrian's succession, but four leading senators were unlawfully put to death soon after. They had opposed Hadrian or seemed to threaten his succession, and the Senate held him responsible for their deaths and never forgave him. He earned further disapproval among the elite by abandoning Trajan's expansionist policies and territorial gains in Mesopotamia, Assyria, Armenia, and parts of Dacia. Hadrian preferred to invest in the development of stable, defensible borders and the unification of the empire's disparate peoples. He is known for building Hadrian's Wall, which marked the northern limit of Britannia.
