Manage and coordinate surveying procedures and processes for an assigned location including survey employees and survey subcontractors to ensure projects are surveyed correctly and meet or exceed project requirements.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the project scheduling systems for the corporation within the context of the broad spectrum of individual business unit & corporate requirements and overall organizational goals.
Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and constructability reviews to ensure successful job completion.
Create and promote, in his/her organization, the ability to recognize and understand the appropriate environmental policies, rules, and the potential adverse affects to the environment due to operations, and take steps necessary to comply with policy/rules, and mitigate the effects of operations.
In union shop environments, when necessary, act as a consultant with labor relations, to the collective bargain process. In merit shop environments, work with the Corporate and local benefits coordinators to ensure Granite's programs provide the appropriate benefit coverage and compensation for non-union craft employees.
Assist with the management of sales and use tax audits. Evaluate potential tax exposure, develop and implement audit strategies and maintain successful auditor relationships. Provide timely communication of audit results to management.
