Key Responsibilities:- Provide advice, strategies and problem solving on all health and safety issues to achieve our goal of 'no harm'.
- Promote a culture in where health and safety is a value that will never be compromised.
- Implement the organization's health and safety policy, safety management planning requirements and standards aligned with the Hatch safety management system and delivery approach.
- Prepare a Safety Management Plan for the office and projects.
- Manage the identification of health and safety training needs for personnel, including project staff and contractors.
- Delivery and rollout safety training to include competency and behavior-based leadership training.
- Provide assistance in all precontract, tender assessment and contract administration for projects in relation to health and safety requirements and expectations.
- Review and approve contractor's safety management plans and safe operating procedures before work commences.
- Define local statutory and regulatory requirements and communicate with the office leadership team.
- Compile project specific health and safety project setup documentation aligned with the Hatch corporate health and safety approach.
- Lead and facilitate the hazard analysis and risk assessment process across all office and project disciplines.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations and reporting.
- Measure the implementation of corrective actions from health and safety audits and incident investigations.
- Develop, implement and coordinate the process of health and safety reporting to the office and regional leadership teams.
- Assist in defining health and safety leading and lagging indicator targets and reviews are planned, implemented and reported.
- Prepare, implement and review office and project emergency response plans.
- Implement and manage the office and project audit program.
- Measure compliance with rules, safety management plans and health and safety procedures.
- Perform duties as stipulated in the Project Safety Management Plan.
- Recruit and induct health and safety staff.
- Provide workers compensation and rehabilitation support, advice and manage the process.
Qualifications and Essential Experience:- 10+ years' experience in health and safety with experience on major construction projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A high level of computer skills.
- A high level of organizational skills.
- A passion for continual improvement of project health and safety performance.
- Ability to lead and motivate office and project teams in health and safety.
- Must be willing to travel.
- BS Safety Management or related field is Preferred.
- Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is Preferred.
- Member of a recognized health and safety professional organization is Preferred.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
