Overview

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will be responsible for full life cycle recruitment across Suffolk’s Mission Critical business. This individual will serve as a strategic talent advisor and recruiting partner to hiring managers and business leaders, providing thought leadership, market insight, and recruitment expertise to drive successful hiring outcomes. 

 

The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner will lead complex and high-priority searches, develop proactive talent strategies, and build strong pipelines of qualified candidates to support Suffolk’s continued growth in the Mission Critical sector. This role will partner closely with stakeholders across Suffolk to understand business needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and provide guidance throughout the hiring process. 

 

Project types will vary across different areas within Talent Acquisition but will share the common objective of strategic recruitment, research and analysis, talent market intelligence, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will be an experienced recruiting professional who can effectively influence and collaborate with corporate and operations teams, navigate a fast-paced environment, and serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders and candidates.

This position requires going into the office 4 days a week in Boston, Herndon, or Dallas. 

Responsibilities
  • Lead full life cycle recruitment for Mission Critical positions, from initial intake and sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding. 
  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers and business leaders to develop position profiles and understand overall business needs, including role scope, qualifications, compensation, timing, and expectations. 
  • Serve as a consultative talent advisor, providing hiring managers with market insight, candidate availability, sourcing strategies, and recommendations throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify, attract, and engage highly qualified active and passive candidates. 
  • Source, identify, prescreen, and assess candidates prior to hiring team interviews. 
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of qualified talent for current and future Mission Critical opportunities. 
  • Develop and manage strong consultative relationships with hiring managers, business leaders, candidates, and internal Talent Acquisition partners. 
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring teams and provide thoughtful insight regarding candidate qualifications, experience, motivations, and alignment to the role. 
  • Coordinate the hiring process and all logistics associated with recruitment activity, ensuring an efficient and positive experience for candidates and hiring teams. 
  • Represent Suffolk and the Mission Critical business accurately and effectively to prospective candidates, including communicating Suffolk’s culture, opportunities, and future growth. 
  • Conduct competitive talent research and provide insight into talent markets, competitor activity, candidate availability, and recruiting trends. 
  • Leverage market research and talent intelligence to inform recruiting strategies and proactively identify potential talent. 
  • Update candidate and requisition records through the company Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) to maintain accurate and current information. 
  • Provide regular updates on the status of active searches, including progress, challenges, market feedback, and recommended next steps. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and contribute to Talent Acquisition initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Partner with the broader People & Culture team to provide a best-in-class candidate experience and seamless transition through onboarding. 
  • May provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and best practice support to other members of the Talent Acquisition team. 
  • Support additional Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as needed. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.  
  • 5–7+ years of progressive full life cycle recruiting experience; construction, engineering, real estate, or related industry experience strongly preferred. 
  • Experience recruiting for complex, specialized, and/or high-priority positions; Mission Critical, data center, or related industry experience strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple searches and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong consultative recruiting skills with the ability to build credibility and influence Hiring Managers and business leaders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative and proactive sourcing strategies, including experience engaging passive candidates. 
  • Strong understanding of recruiting practices, talent markets, and competitive intelligence. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a high sense of urgency with the ability to deliver against demanding timelines. 
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make decisions independently and determine when escalation is appropriate. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigate ambiguity, and prioritize effectively. 
  • Previous experience with iCIMS or another Applicant Tracking System is a plus. 
  • Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and use research and market data to inform recruiting strategies. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience.
