independent analysis, interpretation of regulatory requirements, project leadership, and
recommendations that affect district operations and decision-making. The position may provide
technical direction and work guidance to staff but does not exercise formal supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

applications. Administers the application and database, including configuration, business
processes, data structures, annual rollover, releases, upgrades, user access, workflow, testing,
security, and performance monitoring.

communications for enrollment, scheduling, attendance, grade reporting, statutory submissions,
and year-end processes.
? Establishes and enforces districtwide data governance, validation, data definitions, and
role-based access controls to safeguard confidential student and employee information under
applicable privacy laws, security standards, District policy, and records-retention requirements.
? Audits data quality, access, handling, and sharing; reconciles enrollment and accountability
measures; resolves recurring exceptions with data owners; documents corrective action;
monitors performance indicators; and prepares certification evidence and recommendations for
administrator approval.

guidance; assesses operational impacts, communicates requirements, and updates systems,
procedures, and training to maintain compliance.
? Leads end-to-end CALPADS reporting, including Fall 1, Fall 2, End-of-Year 1-4, maintenance,
certification, amendments, audit support, and resolution of fatal errors and certification
discrepancies; coordinates SARC, CRDC, and other assigned collections. Produces, validates,
certifies, and securely transmits extracts and reports to agencies and authorized partners within
required timelines and privacy and data-sharing protocols.
? Coordinates CalSAAS data review with Human Resources and the county office of education;
reconciles staff, course, and assignment data with CALPADS; researches exceptions,
documents supporting evidence, and coordinates data corrections and timely responses.
? Serves as the primary liaison with district departments, school sites, county offices, the
California Department of Education, vendors, and other agencies on SIS operations, reporting,
data quality, and issue resolution. Consults on enrollment, attendance, scheduling, assessment,
and grading; facilitates decisions aligning business practices and system configurations with
compliance and accurate reporting; and represents the District in related meetings, workgroups,
trainings, and professional networks.
? Designs, documents, tests, and monitors secure data integrations and transformations among
the SIS and secondary systems using complex queries, imports/exports, automated file
exchanges, application programming interfaces, or other available integration tools.

administrators, staff, the Board, and agencies. Partners with instructional leaders and program
staff to define key performance indicators, analyze programs and operations, and communicate
trends, exceptions, and findings supporting planning, resource allocation, improvement, and
equitable student outcomes.

implementation and review, including plans, stakeholder and vendor coordination,
configuration, testing, user acceptance, deployment, documentation, training, and change
management.

to evaluate new features, modules, and related software.
