Full Job Description
About the Role:
Contributes to the strategic direction and execution of the Market Access field teams and sales market access training programs, in addition to various new and advanced training programs including account management, business planning and technical skills related to Market Access field teams roles in the areas of pharmacy, patient access, patient support services, payer/PBM and organized customer. Plays a key role in the planning and execution of the Market Access national and team meetings and other special projects. Partners closely with senior Market Access and commercial leadership, assessing field sales market access landscape and Market Access field teams capabilities and recommends training methodologies to deepen Market Access and role specific knowledge and drive results. Responsible for designing, implementing and managing Market Access pilot projects to support the launch and ongoing commercialization of company products.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Assists the Director of Market Access Training to design, develop, implement and monitor multiple training curriculums/programs and materials to include role specific workshops, learning modules, customer engagement model, POA/regional meeting materials, agendas, and technical training
  • Assists Director of Market Access Training efforts with Market Access Marketing and other cross-functional groups to design, develop and implement comprehensive training materials to support the launch of new products, patient support services programs, patient access processes, account management, technical skill development, role competencies and Market Access tools
  • Establish objectives and lead development and administration of engagement techniques and presentations, product and product applications based on customer scenarios
  • Develops and executes training-related aspects for the national and regional sales or Market Access meetings
  • Develops and leads the on-boarding of all new Market Access field personnel including coordination with first and second line leaders and internal departments (IT, HR, Operations, etc). Drives improvements for Market Access Field Training and Market Access Sales Training area based on understanding the needs of the business and industry trends
  • Manages and oversees personnel assessments, strategic training initiatives, coaching and development of new hires and Market Access subject matter experts and mentors that may assist with facilitation on training and role specific topics
  • Attends and may contribute to critical industry conferences to continuously test training programs ensuring they maintain clinical, market, and account management competitive relevance
  • Proactively ensures training programs reflect the highest standards of conduct and compliance for the pharmaceutical industry and proactively anticipates business and industry issues
  • Recommends to Sr. Leadership alternative methods of delivering training and new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training (including distance-learning, e-learning, learning portals). This includes leading and facilitating the implementation of new training materials using the recommended new approaches
  • Proactively manages outside vendors (lecturers, consultants, etc.) and internal technical or product specialists for training programs
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in business or technical field AND 8+ years pharmaceutical sales experience required, including a significant portion of time as an internal pharmaceutical sales or Market Access roles such as managing National or Regional Pharmacy, Payer, or other Corporate Accounts, Field Reimbursement, Patient Access or Training. Significant experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts required OR
  • Master's degree in business or technical field preferred AND 6+ years of similar experience
  • Proven experience creating new training materials and organizing training curriculum for new Market Access Teams and roles. CNS and/or psychiatry/anti-psychotic experience a plus. Sales management and/or people management experience a plus
  • Expertise with capturing and sharing best practices, translating into Market Access training programs to develop a high performing Market Access field organization while impacting Market Access knowledge across field sales
  • Exceptional communication skills including ability to take an independent stance when interfacing with cross functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to translate and interpret data and metrics into value-add business insight
  • Extensive knowledge of Life Sciences training programs landscape
  • Proven success with implementing company-wide training methodologies / techniques and developing and delivering exceptional training programs
  • Demonstrated and proven presentation and facilitation skills in variety of in-person and remote setting, including executive presence when leading meetings or training large audiences
  • Anticipates business and industry issues; recommends relevant training, process, technical, and service improvements
  • Demonstrates broad expertise or unique knowledge and serves as subject matter expert in the areas of pharmacy, account management, patient access, patient support services, organized customer and payer/PBM landscape
  • Considered an expert within the company and may have external presence in area of expertise
  • Applies in-depth expertise in discipline and broad knowledge of other closely related areas to improve efficiency of team
  • Ability to work as part of and lead multiple teams

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $158,100.00-$216,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
