Role

The Senior Solutions Architect will work with the Group Treasury business and technology partners to define and evolve the architecture supporting Treasury systems.

  • This role ensures that Treasury platforms are designed to meet evolving business and regulatory requirements while achieving high standards of reliability, scalability, security, and availability. This role is a high-impact role responsible for managing a set of tasks and techniques working as a liaison among various stakeholders.
  • Provides expert advice and counsel to impact Corporate Functions IT areas will have on complex issues related to area of specialty, the position may have multiple concurrent initiatives occurring at any one time.
  • The incumbent must ensure high availability, integrity and reliability of solutions developed. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who embraces change, is passionate, flexible, curious, continuous learners and who wants to achieve challenging goals

  • Scalable Architecture: Design and guide implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions tailored to Group Treasury
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust, future-proof technical solutions.
  • Architectural Leadership: Lead cross-functional architectural discussions, driving strategic decisions and solutions across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • Technical Mentorship: Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering growth and ensuring technical excellence.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Modular Modernization: Spearhead modernization efforts including cloud-native adoption, microservices architecture, and modular API-first design. Drive loosely coupled components to enable flexibility, scalability, and vendor independence.
  • Platform Enablement: Build foundational capabilities that empower product, data, and AI teams to innovate securely and efficiently.
  • Data Engineering: Design and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines for analytics, reporting, and AI model consumption.
  • Operational Excellence: Support production systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous service improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating consensus and alignment.
  • Continuously Improve: Aid in the continuous improvement of business and technical processes through prior experiences and best practice adoption


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ Experience working in the Banking and Financial Services domain
  • Understanding of Group Treasury Domain and Data:
    • Liquidity
    • Asset and Liability Management
    • Data Management (Client, Positions, Transactions etc.)
  • Experience with structured Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
  • Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global based systems. Experience in network infrastructure, security, data, or application development.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems or similar transformational initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build and foster relationships with business partners, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals.
